Diploma Courses

P.G DIPLOMA COURSE IN COMPUTER APPLICATION

APPLICATION

Application for admission can be had from the office of Madurai Institute of Social Sciences, Alagar Kovil Road, Madurai - 2 on payment of Rs. 100/- in person or Rs. 130/- by post.

ELIGIBILITY

Candidates shall be required to have qualified for Bachelor's Degree of this University or any other university recognised by Madurai Kamaraj University.

SCHEME OF EDUCATION

The P.G.D.C.A is a one year Regular Course/Non Semester

The traning programme for the profession of counselling has four facets.

  1. Class room instruction
  2. Practicals in Computer Lab
  3. Special Lectures
  4. Seminars

CLASS INSTRUCTION

Subjects of Study :

  • Fundamentals of Computers
  • COBOL and Data Processing
  • Software Engineering
  • Object Oriented Programming with C++
  • Client/Server computing with Oracle 7
  • Windows and visual basic
  • Information Technology

PRACTICALS

  1. Computer programming Lab I (COBOL and C++ Programming)
  2. Computer programming Lab II(Oracle and Visual Basic)

FEE PARTICULARS

The fees for the course is Rs. 9200/- In addition to this the refundable caution deposit of Rs. 500/- is to be paid at the time of admission.

HOSTEL

Hostel accommodation is available for men students only. Guidance will be provided to women students to get accommodation in the apprived hostel.
